Can anyone identify the mark on the back of this cake plate? Any help on the pattern name would also be appreciated! Thanks...

It says BAVARIAN CHINA / GERMANY if you hadn't already figured that out...

Thanks, Fluffy...Of course, now it's plain as day...But the little squiggles threw me. The stamp is faded some and I couldn't tell if they were something significant. Thanks so much...appreciate the help!

Is it hand painted or are those decals on it? If HP, there are collectors out there, as I've found out, selling family things. Hand-painted cake plate.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
You read about all these terrorists --- most of them came here legally, but
they hung around on these expired visas, some for as long as 10 -15 years.
Now, compare that to Blockbuster; you are two days late with a video and
those people are all over you. Let's put Blockbuster in charge of
immigration.

We could save a lot of money if:
We put Tom Ridge in charge of, Blockbuster.
And put Blockbuster, in charge of Homeland Security!

this is one of the many german porcelain makers which have this trademark (crown),see if there is a website .
if the company has gone out of business, then the piece is worth more.

If you search on ebay (only takes a minute) you will find a plate that's almost identical.

Hi Kiara...I just searched using "Bavarian China Cake Plate" and "Bavarian China Plate"...searched both current and closed auctions and found nothing like mine...What did you search on? Thanks!

Hi blueyes29,
I searched on Bavarian China Germany and it brought up this one. You can also search on Bavarian China plate and can find the same auction even faster. It is similar and has the same mark as yours but yours has handles. Good luck with it.

Thanks, Kiara...You're a whiz! The plate isn't exactly like mine but very similiar...and the mark is the same. Appreciate your efforts AND including the link to the auction.

i cant find this mark in my books.
most of these crowns come with an initial underneath the crown, say,S for sitzendorf,W for wallendorfer and S for grafenthal.
the number of petals of the crown also differ .
yours have a building with a flag instead of an initial,i would say this is either an earlier mark of a company which has since switched to a different mark or a company which no longer exist.
you may want to scan this mark when you list the item,as german bidders look for old pieces.
your piece seem to be of better condition and if that gold has not faded,it is worth more than the piece kiara showed us.
good luck.
