Has anyone ever experienced a transaction like this? Last night I won an auction for an accessory for my cell phone. The seller uses their own Auction Works checkout system. It *seemed* easy and I thought it was going great. I went through, filled out the info and paid by Paypal. Once I was done filling out the Paypal info, it came up that I couldn't access my Paypal main info from that page. So I closed out my browser window. I go to my Paypal account and it shows that I've had no recent activity. And on "My eBay" it still says "pay" although I *thought* I paid already through this seller's checkout!
The seller has over 6,000 feedbacks with 35 negatives. None of the negatives that I saw mentioned problems with the checkout though a few people mentioned it was confusing in the positive remarks. Now I am wondering if I paid or not! My paranoia already had me go to my Paypal account and change my password just in case there is some problem.

I use both eBay invoices and Vendio's checkout. I've used Vendio's checkout myself with no problems. If the money has not come out of your PayPal account than you have not paid. Go the the closed auction, click on Pay Now and pay through eBay. I think that's easier anyway. Just contact the seller and tell them you'll pay with PayPal and go through the eBay checkout.
None of the negatives that I saw mentioned problems with the checkout.
I should hope not. Giving a negative because you can't figure out how to pay would be a low blow.

You can check to see if you paid for the item through the PayPal site...one of the ways is to click on "Items I have Won" at the top..if the item is listed there, then you haven't paid for it. Another way is to click on "history" and then "advanced search" - put the item# in the search box and indicate that you are searching by item # on the drop down menu. I usually pay through the PP "pay now" button as soon as the auction ends if the shipping amount is known and ignore checkout requirements.

I don't know, Cheryl, have you bought anything on eBay lately?
I like to think I know a little bit about the auction process but an attempt to pay for something yesterday failed the first three times. I'm still not sure why it succeeded on the fourth. All I was doing was using the Pay Now button on the auction page.

A lot of buyers (even seassoned ones) have trouble with AuctionWorks Checkout. Third party checkouts are a drag.
