When writing up a new auction where are the category lists? All that comes up is a big zero with no list. I have to go to ebay and manually look up the category number. Is Vendio having a problem or what?
Thanks

Here's a list of the categories but I only list through ebay so I don't know about any Vendio glitches

Thanks AucionAce. That will make it easier to look up.

I still don't understand what happened to the vendio list though.

Hi. If you go to the Vendio Services Sales Manager & Image Hosting site you will see 3 threads on this problem. A few of us have been having this problem for a couple days. There are some solutions listed.

Be sure you sync when you load up SMP, must be online. This has solved my problem in the past. Unless something new is happening...luck to ya.

Dumb question - what do you do when you 'sync'? I read that somewhere on AW - but didn't know what it meant.

I've been on eBay 2 days trying to find the category numbers. It used to be on the Site Map. They always Hide the things the sellers need most and list the junk for Buyers!! Finally gave up and came to Vendio to list. When I click on eBay categories I get only Leaf numbers and can't use them. Is anyone going to fix the problem?? They are losing money and so am I!!

nnt-No such thing as dumb question. Hope I don't give dumb answer..
When I log on to Sales Mgr Pro A box comes up and asks before you can list. Click yes in this box. Takes a minute or two...depending on connection speed. I am fairly new myself. But it works for me.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to list but the category look-up does not work and I have waited and waited for and nothing.

As for finding anything on Ebay GOOD LUCK! they are not really user friendly. A year back they changed the screen layout so when you went into the closed auction look-up there was no way to get back into the active auctions unless you used the back button to get to active auctions. I sent emails and they told me that the screens had not changed and I was the only one who was complaining. I called and talked to some lady who told me she would pass on the information. I asked here why I cold not talk to someone and she told me that was taken care of by someone outside ebay.

Back in the early 1980's I was at a seminar where one of the apple programmers was speaking. Hew told us that Apple Computer would write their manual and then test 300 people off the street to see if they understood what the manual said. They realized that very few people at that time understood or owned computers. The where absolutely amazed to find that one of the questions dealt with whether of not text was showing on the screen and at that time you have green screen with back letters. Well out of 300 people only one person understood the question, as to what color was the screen. They had to go back and rewrite that part of the manual because they knew 99% of the people who bought the computer would not understand that part of the manual.
