Just got a call from someone who needs a whole distributor of designer replica fragrances. I have now spent the past 45 minutes looking for such an animal and have rediscovered my hatred of all that use the word wholesale as if it defines anything 3% below retail.
I will continue my search but if anyone knows a real distributor (you know, the type with at least 3 digit minimum orders that don't offer free gift wrapping) I would be forever grateful for the info. Not to mention a little less testy as the day goes on.
If you use such an animal and want to protect your catagory, email me with the info at [email protected]. Fear not, this person will not be selling on ebay (their entire extent of computer knowledge exists in the ability to find porn sites).

Did you try Alibaba? That's where I'd go if I wanted to source something near the beginning of the supply chain.

Fluff - I love Alibaba but I'm not sure their sources are appropriate in this case. Too short of a deadline. You should check out some of the funky air freshener dispensers one of their sources have though - I never really pictured a back kicking donkey (ala the old metal banks) as a dispenser for my car freshener

Hi Fenix, do you have a flea market near? if you do most of the offices have merchandiser magazines they offer to vendors and to the public, they are loaded with this category. I know one called the east coast merchandiser and list a great deal of mdse. for certain areas and I know a lot of people that go and pick the stuff up. If you do not have access to this let me know and I will pick one up for you this weekend when I am there, I will be happy to send it to you.

This place is so great, within the past 2 days I learned two new things that will be most helpful thanks to Fluffy and Neglus. Fluffy thanks for Aibaba, I was not familiar with them at all and I registered today and already made an inquiry. Neglus thanks for the tip when I am in my ebay working with my sold items to open in a new window, what a time saver.

As posted in another thread I suggested going to the library for that information. The wholesale places on the internet are not the true wholesalers. They are the ones that buy from them so you have to go deeper and I doubt if they advertise. Good Luck

I wish I would have know someone actually purchased these kind of items. There was a supplier out of San Antonio, TX at the last trade show that had what you are looking for. Now if only I could remember there name...... Nope sorry cant remember but I do know that are out of San Antonio. If I remember I repost it here.

Search Thomas Register of Manufacturers and then find out who distributes for the companies you select.
Thomas available online or in your library.

Latte - you are truly wise and wonderful person I completely forgot about that mag, I have a couple around here someone but if nothing else I can run down tomorrow and pick one up.
Chess - I didn't think they did either but of course than I go and get a call looking forr it. I'm kind of the internet and sourcing expert for all who know me and now it seems all that know them as well. You would never believe some of the things people ask me to find
Beth - Thank you - that's a new source to add to the library, had not heard of them.

Here's how to subscribe to the merchandiser mags. Have 'em delivered to your doorstep.

(Hey, does anyone think the usual "Can someone tell me where to buy stuff to sell on eBay" whiners are reading this?)

Giving people headaches is what I do best.
Actually, though, I'm wondering if this could be a replacement venue for the widgets I used to sell through those nasty l.com folks.
Thanks to reenie and chessguy for the tip.

Fluff - I would think so. Quickie site with bulk lots at four price levels plus bulk lots of identical pieces.... Advertising for the West is not too shabby although if you do the Midwest or East you don't have to worry about sales tax collection.
Toasted - Thank you - I found something similar also but don't think thats what they had in mind - I have it book marked just in case though
