Hi everybody,

This pretty little bowl is 3" in diameter. It's about 2 1/2" high including the handle.

Stuff like this isn't my dish of tea (no pun intended, of course) and it does seem pretty small to be a food container.

Anyway, I haven't a clue how to describe it and I have no idea what the writing on it means.

Any help will be appreciated.

That really is a sweet little item, Lucy. No clue what it is--maybe an individual rice bowl??

Call it a Chinese escargot bowl.

My first thought was "Trinket Box" but have no idea what its real purpose is. It is cute however.

Hey Sparkz,

Good one! Actually, as well as a few escargot, it would hold one Aebleskiver quite nicely!

There, see? I do know about SOME things... like the difference between the two.

I think I'll just list it as a Small Antique Chinese Covered Bowl and call it good.
