Never ran into this before. I need to end current auctions due to an unavoidable and unexpected non-pleasure trip. It's a temporary interruption but I would like to relist them when I return (about 3 weeks). It'll be a kick in the head to have to eat all those listing fees for nothing. Do you know if it's possible to use that relist at no charge (if it sells the 2nd time around) feature if you end your auction prematurely? Also, which reason in their selection of examples would be used in this case. Thank you for any help.

If you end an auction early. you will be charged again to relist it. The auction has to run out with no bids to relist it w/o paying charges if it sells.

If you have the time to wait for an Ebay response you can email customer service and request they CANCEL all of your auctions.
When THEY cancel stuff THEY AUTOMATICALLY REFUND LISTING FEES
BTW how many auctions are we talking?? Is it small items you can take with you??
I travel ALOT I always pack one bag for me and one for my bidders and enough packing supplies to cover every item that got a bid in the last week. Now granted I sell small items so its easy for me to transport it all.

Another option I thought of (and I'm not sure this is permitted - I'm sure others with more experience can verify if it would be okay or not): you could change all your auctions to only be able to accept bids from pre-approved bidders. Then, if you don't put any bidders on your approved list, no one would be able to bid on your auctions and they would run out without any bids. When you get back and want to relist, you might qualify for a refund of listing fees if the items sell the second time around. (Obviously this would be too time consuming if you had hundreds of auctions running that needed changing though.)
Still would be better if you might be able to get ebay to cancel the auctions for you and refund your listing fees

This is incorrect. Yes you will be charged to relist them, but they do qualify for the second chance refund as long as the original listing were new listings.
