Many years ago I was given a cranberry colored glass vase. I remember reading the booklet that came with it that said it had real gold used in the making process. Of course, now I wish I had kept the box and booklet, but that was many years ago. I am sure someone knows what you call that glass.
Also, I know someone can tell me what it is called when you see different colors in clear glass, it has slipped my elderly brain, and I just can't find it on other listings.

I don't know the cranberry glass but maybe someone like Max60 will come along and help on that part .
I think the word your looking for on different colors in clear glass is iridescent or opalescent ....hope thats what your looking for
True cranberry glass is made with real gold in the mixture. Your piece may be from Rossi Glass in Canada as they do some of the finest and a pamphlet used to be attached to the pieces.

Hey Everyone
Doesn't Ruby glass have gold in it too? Seems I read that somewhere. Probably is cranberry if it's not very dark.
Love the link - Kiara.
Also could your iridescent glass be carnival glass - Does it have a pattern to it and is it pressed glass? Carnival can be really good and so can iridescent glass if it's Tiffany or something like that
Would love to see a photo of both

Thanks so much everyone, I will try and post a picture tomorrow. The iridesent glass is on a small perfume bottle made in Egypt, not very valuable I'm sure, but it does show different colors, couldn't for the life of me think of what it was called.
Thanks for the website Kiara, I am sure that is it, it was from Canada.
