I just got a new ISP and they set up the email stuff for me. They used my full name as my email address? Should I be concerned with this?
I will probably change it soon but just don't have time right now.

i dont think it is bad, with so much junk emails, your friend will know it is coming from you ,not some one who wants them to buy viagra or refinance or order drug in canada or visit some porn sites.

Actually, as a spam prevention method, it is very, very good.
One of the primary methods spammers use to spray their noxious email is to do a dictionary attack on ISPs. What this means is they have a very long list of first names, last names and English words. They send mail to every name on the list "@yourisp.com". Some of them are bound to get through. As for the others, they don't care. They also don't care that they are causing network congestion.
Which is one reason why spammers must die.
Ahem. Back to our topic. Now, since your address consists of firstname.lastname, it's not going to be on their list. And so far, they're not combining words on their lists.

Wow Fluffy that's amazing. Since the change I have gotten almost no spam at all - I have had days that I was sure that I wasn't getting my email at all???
I guess that's why.
