Hi all!... some of you have been able to help me before, being so generous with your collective knowledge and all-around good guesses. ...This is a heavy crystal art glass plate 11.75" across x 1" (deep-set)... Pressed into the bottom side is satin-surfaced picture of castles... no maker's mark that I can see... we are grateful for any input, real or imagined LOL...

In advance, and ongoing; Thanx much!

Ok, my turn. I'd make a WAG (wild a$$ed guess) that it's a souvenir plate from either europe or Texas.

LOL, may I guess California? Looks like the nouveau-riche McMansions, as we call them. Tell me how a couple in their 70s can USE a house with 13 bathrooms (yes, that's right; 13!). Two people. 13 bathrooms. Etc. etc. It's true we should be able to do anything we want with our extra money, but as my husband says it betrays a real lack of imagination.

And I think, if there's a hereafter, we'll be called upon to answer for how we spent our riches.

Well, end of sermon. Good luck with IDing your glass dish. It's very pretty!

Are you sure the structure on the left is a castle and not a cathedral?

Where is stonecold? The first thing I thought of was the festival he posted pics of a couple months ago with the ice castle. Maybe he will recognize it.

Next thought is Ukranian but I know nothing so can probably dismiss that one. Their curch top tend to be more rounded aren't they?

Is that fleur de lis in the outer edge of the plate? I ask because that's the symbol of Florence, Italy.

It's the original artist's concept for Disneyland. Circa 1950.

I think it is Neuschwanstein Castle. I don't know how to make a link but here is a pretty good picture of it :

I remember seeing glass souveniers like yours when I went there.

edited to add....found a bigger picture here :
