I believe this mark is Russian, but I have been unable to Id it after searching many pages on yahoo and different message boards. Does anyone recognize it?
This is the tea set it came off of (this is a partial photo, there is a lot more in the set:
Also... does anyone know what the bowl with holes in the bottom is called, or the tall strange looking thing?
I was able to translate the words... it reads: Porcelain - Manual Work

The crest is the Russian Imperial Eagle. Before you get too excited, that crest is still in use today. In fact, I believe your pieces are new.
As for tea set...hmmm. Russians use samovars, not teapots, and often drink tea out of glasses in metal holders.
