I have a bunch of books listed on eBay and sales are way down. Has anyone else noticed a decline in book sales since eBay changed the categories?

Ditto! Me thinks the trashing of the categories was not such a hot idea.
I sell non-fiction almost exclusively.
Part of it may be that you can only choose one "subject" in the drop-down boxes. The Library of Congress listing in the front of each book will frequently list a book as having two or more subjects. And yet, eBay, in it's vast knowledge of all subjects and categories, has allowed sellers to choose only ONE subject with its new "item specifics". What were they thinking ?!?
My guess as to why hits (and alas!, bids too) are down is that bidders are using the "subject" drop down box and it's eliminating many other relevant listings, since the seller is forced to choose which subject most bidders will be looking for.
Ebay is blasting even more holes in their shoes, by NOT allowing a double listing in the same book category with the subject being the only difference between the
two listings. (Forget I even mentioned that, who wants to shell out the fees?!)
We desperately need an additional "subject" box for the items specifics. Perhaps even two additional boxes. That's just my humble opinion, and is in no way, shaped by the fact that if sales don't pick up we won't be able to take the usual summer vacation .

Yes,I have noticed a decrease in sales since the change. Not as many hits on items, either.
