In the last 3 weeks I have had problems getting email to about 5 buyers, and all have aol addresses. I don't know if it is a coincidence, or if there is a problem. One did reply and said she found all her messages from me in her spam file.

Amber, this does happen with the high level of spam blockers that some ISPs have. I check my spam file often (not AOL) and find non-spam items there. I've had the same thing happen with my end of auction messages. If I don't hear from the buyer in two days, I send the eBay invoice. I figure that they have probably allowed eBay e-mails if they are buying/selling. By the way, where in the UK did you live? I lived in Surrey, near Epsom. Moved to the US in 1959, so you can figure out how ancient I am!

Thanks earthmum, I think the problem must be with aol. I have tried sending messages through eBay, you would think people would wonder why they are not getting their eBay mail. I find that the invoiced don't go through either. I have now sent messages that have no mention of auction or eBay on them, and not by the return on the EOA notices, so I will see if they get there.
I was born in Dorset, lived 15 years in Cambridge, and 10 in Leeds, 5 in the U.S. and 26 here in Canada, so we have been around a bit!

I guess we are a couple of fine vintage items, huh? You could try adding a line in your auctions, something like "If you are an AOL user and do not receive my end of auction message, please e-mail me at ...." Then you could respond to their e-mail, which should get through.

Good idea earthmum, I will do that. I got a neg a few months ago because the buyer thought I was not responding, did get it taken off by eBay, but it was a big hassle. Yes, I guess we are vintage, but not antique!
