Sometimes people email me to let me know their reasons for purchasing a postcard. This has to be the most romantic one I have received! Thought you all might enjoy it too:

"In 1968, when I was enroute to Viet Nam as a young Marine corporal, I had lunch at this YWCA in Zanesville, OH, and I asked my girlfriend to marry me. She said, "No." We were apart until January of this year. (I moved around from Viet Nam, to Michigan, Illinois, Wisonsin, Kansas, and Iowas, and we had no contact with each other.) On New Year's day 2004, I located (on-line) my childhood sweetheart, and found her still living in Zanesville, OH, and still single. On February 14 of this year, 2004, I asked her again to marry me. This time she said, "Yes." The YWCA is no longer a YWCA, but an upscale restaurant (Bryan Place). We booked the main dining room of this former YWCA and on May 1 were married in front of a fireplace, near where we sat in 1968, and nearly 100 friends and relatives. A reception followed, and we had a DJ play hits of the '60's.

Have a nice day.

Larry"

neglus,

What a fantastic story!
So was the postcard of the YMCA or the newer restaurant that replaced it?
It would have been really neat to be at that wedding.

Man I LOVE it when buyers share their reasons for buying something. If it is special, it really makes it all worth our hard work.

That gives me an idea. So that I don't piggy back on your very cool story, I will start a new thread in which we can all share about what we hear back from buyers.

Thanks for the heartwarmer on such a rainy day (in my area).

That is SO GREAT!!!

Thanks to you for sharing that with us.

I live every day with a VietNam war vet. Airborne, Ranger, officer. It was, for certain, the "forgotten war". Can tell ya, they will never forget. We lost about 52K killed there.

Thanks.

Tammy
