I'm not sure about the answer to #2 but I don't think they can find any seller ID going through Vendio unless they call up a search for the word Vendio in title and description, and you give enough hints about an item you have for sale that they can track you down by sellers.
Edited to add...they would have to really really want to track you down and have a lot of time on their hands unless you are very specific about an item
For #1...you have to have a separate Vendio account for each seller ID. That was one reason I stopped using them several months ago.

I sell under more than one Ebay i.d. and yes, it's necessary to have a seperate Vendio account for each Ebay account. At one time, you could list to 2 different accounts from one Auctionwatch account, but they did away with that because of the problems it was causing with the accounts.

i am myoldtoy on ebay; i joined vendio in '99 and use same. not willing to pay the $25 to change. someday may be sorry for this. at any rate; i am now so curious about these extra user names...and the fact that this thread in some fashion, or another is a frequent topic....
------------------------------------
from this post::::
"you have to have a separate Vendio account for each seller ID. That was one reason I stopped using them several months ago."
[Q] why would you want/need more than one vendio account?[and i understand why, as in my case of using my real i.d., plus as in sparkz thread] but then my question becomes why have two ebay accounts?
---------------------------------------
"I don't think there's any way to do it through Vendio but it's not usually very difficult."
[Q] what does this statement mean?
--------------------------------------
Sparkz: you sell under more than one ebay i.d. - does that equate to more than one ebay account? does it not take a different credit card? [or can you register as many id/accounts as you desire using one good old visa card?
------------
now for conjecture on my part; and i may be way offfffff beam...but when you register a new id/acct., you have to provide name, address, etc per the card...
is this how ebay would know that Sparkz has more than one ebay id/acct? and i am not inferring any collusion here; i accept that sellers may need more than one id/acct. i am curious, if each of your id/accts with ebay show the same verification information...
would not they have to do so, otherwise you would be guilty of providing false info?

Toy...All Ebay requires is for each account to have a seperate email address. In my case, the other account was originally set up in my wife's name for a business, but aside from the email addresses, all the other info including credit card, phone numbers, addresses etc. are identical. You can use the same info on all the ebay accounts you wish to create, as long as each has a different email address. Vendio accounts are basically the same proceedure. One word of caution: If you have multiple Vendio accounts, you can only post to their forums with one of them. If they catch you posting with seperate I.D.s, they will suspend the posting privileges for all of them.

Toy - there are a number of diferrent reasons to use different IDs. I just started a new one to list items in Australia. Sure I could use one of my existing accounts but the same items go for different amounts in different coutries and I triple my turn over if I list to the countries seperately and don't let bidders from each country see what the items are going for elsewhere. I use Works as opposed to Vendio to list since they allow listing to multiple ebay accounts from one of their accounts but I still have more than one Works account because you can only designate one currency type per account If you are confused now... just think how I am constantly tying to think in three different currencies, ways of spelling and referring to items and time zones (4 actually - Works operates on EST and I exist in PST).
Hopefully I will be able to start dialing down the ebay listings soon since my website goes live tomorrow.

Roadsmith, he probably won't be able to find you unless you sell a very unique item that he knows you have and keeps doing a search for it. He could also trace you if you have the identical TOS with both IDs and if they have enough distinct wording.
When you start another ID just contact Vendio and tell them to block it from posting on the boards. I'm glad I did that with mine because when I'm doing auctions I always check into the forums off and on and sometimes I forget I'm not always kiara. I answer something and then it says I don't have access. Duh!

Well if that is the case I would tell him to spend more time developing a life of his own and less tyring to interfere in yours. Point out that these items are being sold for a third part and were not part of your late family members estate and if he truly had so much care and concern for this persons legacy items he should at least know what they consist of.
But that's just me... I am very unfriendly when people invite themselves into my business.

oh yeah... and tell him that when you do decide to list some of the items you will be sure to notify him as you have no doubt that given his ongoing concern about them he will appreciate the opportunity to bid on them for himself.

just because you can't pick your family doesn't mean you have to have a relationship with them. just ask my sister. we live within 10 blocks of each other and speak once a year if we have to.

Roadsmith...If you have any unique items that he would surely recognize if they were listed, and you ever have occasion to travel up through the valley, drop them off here and I'll list them for you. I've always enjoyed a good conspiracy

Roady... I know it's not funny but the very concept of "You sold Uncle Georges watch... no water for you this summer" is so ridiculous I can't help but laugh. Can you have the nutcase committed?

What's wrong with driving him bonkers crazy? Bring half of it to Lucy and the rest to me and we'll show you how professionals can drive someone up a wall Just don't list anything of potentially high value under your newly creatated account with zero feedback. I have an account with over 100 positive feedbacks with no negs or neutrals. It was set up solely to sell other people's items and I have never sold anything that belongs to me on that account. I use it for consignments, but I wouldn't charge you any commission. However, if you happen to pass a Trader Joe's on the way here.......

Good luck to you,
