hi guys
I dont normally post on a board, but I saw the original email from the guy that shipped via fedex and he had to pay the customer back the money he had sold the item for(500.00) as fedex would only pay the 100.00
I wasnt aware that if I sold something for 200.00 insured it for 200.00 having paid the extra insurance, and then only being paid,if lost, stolen or broken by fedex,100.00,why I am paying extra money for insurance then?
like I said before,I have never had any breakages, but this was a rude awakening for me,having been shipping with this company over 11 years.I sell a lot of artist dolls from germany, most are only limited to 20 pieces worldwide, once they are sold out, then there are no more,so if I have paid wholesale for it and sold it for retail, how can fedex say, they will only insure for 100.00,I wonder if amy artist in germany know about this?
didnt mean to get anyone upset,to me,you dont sell to the public wholesale, you sell retail,so why should I or anyone else in business have to only be reinbursed for 100.00?hope my post is a little clearer?I am now looking at other ways to ship my items, that does honor the insurance fee's.thank you all for your time.again,I am not trying to get any money from fedex, but I cant afford to sell wholesale to the customer when I am a retail store, the same as walmarts cant sell to the public wholesale....have a nice day

there are private insurers such as UPIC which will provide insurance for your dolls.
