This is one reason why they are billing users 4 weeks to 6 weeks, they are trying to balance the earning one quarter to the next. Once the Real estate market slows down along with car sales. Ebay's stock will be down to $35.00 a share. CEO's at Ebay will call for a rise in fees!
I have over $20,000 in New Collectible Toys for sale at 20% below wholsale.

So, they are playing with us just to manipulate the numbers? eBay can KMA! My billing period ended on July 15 and I've yet to get an invoice. They normally take the money on the 5th of every month. I know exactly what my invoice should be so if they intend to take more for billing late (unless it's a double invoice), they'd better think again.

Do you have a link for this information as jack asked? I would be interested in reading it. Thanks!

I dunno, but I can vouch for the OP ... ebay last billed our business credit card on June 13th, for the May invoice ... and they have not billed our credit card yet for the June invoice, (which should have happened mid-July).

I've been making payments through Paypal, I did get a bill with minus amounts due. I will pay off what I owe next week as we are doing the 127 yardsale and I guess I will do payments through Paypal for awhile until things are back to normal. But so far no problems for me.

Glad I am not you! I have less than 500 in ebay selling stock when I more or less quite selling in February. I hope to lower that this fall.

I been in the stock market for 28 years and this is a sign of off loading good earnings (last quarter) when the next quarter will be real slow.
Some companies will also give out summer time bonus when earning are real good to top CEO's. This helps offset claiming too much earnings and keeping the stock price down. After the CEO's collect their bonus money they buy the stock in off shore account at the lower price. They release a real good earnings report next quarter. If I right the CEO for ebay (MEG) will receive a 50 Million dollar bonus if ebay has 5 years of 10% better earning for each of the years?.
All I know is I was selling $4,000 a month and I doing $40.00 a month. Their are NO buyers out there. I know most people will state "It's Summer", "What are you selling". I was making this kind of money 12 months a year. over 4000 feedbacks.

eBay isn't immune to overall economic trends. However, as sellers, you should have advanced notice about the economy moving up or down.

Oh, I just love these generalizations.
NOT getting any better for anyone over WHAT time period?
My sales are up over those of a month ago.

eBay recognizes the revenue from fees even if they don't bill for them or collect the cash. Weird.

It is actually an accounting standard called accural accounting as opposed to the cash method.
But at some point if an accural receivable can not be collected, it musty be written off.

Reamond; I hate to be picky, but as a former accountant(retired) It is acrual, not acural as you spelled it 2X. On the other side you are correct. This is a standard business practice & is quite legal. Most large business use this method of accouting. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for eBay stock to go down to $35.00/share. One of my best buys was PayPal, which was rolled over int eBay stock. I have upped my value by 5X.

sanmar -- I hate to be picky, but as a former spelling bee participant the correct spelling is "accrual," not "acrual" or "acural."
I think we can believe eBay's billing problem excuse that there is a botched billing system implementation. As a former system manager I can say that this is very plausible.
