Boy this is my week for sewing and knitting stuff.
I just purchased a Singer portable 221 sewing machine. I don't see FEATHERWEIGHT on it anywhere but I don't see it on the ebay listed ones either. Are these one and the same

Featherweight is just a descriptive term for the model 221 portable sewing machine. The Singer manual never referred to it as a featherweight. You bought a reliable workhorse of a machine. Because of it's popularity, any parts and accessories are readily available.

They, featherweights, also do very well on ebay or anywhere. People love them so if you list you will do well. I have seen them sell for around and over $700 with accessories when in good condition. Of course this was a few years ago and who knows now.
