I just tried to post more auctions tonight, auctions that I was relisting. I got a message that said I had "reached my weekly selling limit" and my account had to be reviewed. What on EARTH is that about? I haven't really sold a lot - I mean in the last week I've sold maybe 10 auctions worth, not even $150. What's with this limit, why is it imposed and how long do I have to wait until I can list again?

I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous.

Helga: Was this through Vendio or just through Ebay? I've never heard of such a thing.

eBay! It popped up and then directed me to the main page on eBay. It said at the very end - remember, eBay will NEVER ask you for your password!

I'm ticked!

I was responding to buyer questions a few days ago and got a similar question that I had sent too many emails for the day. I had only answered 3 that day. Does anybody know anything about this one?

It let me do a Buy It Now purchase just now. I've bought way more than I've sold in the past week so I have no idea what is going on.

I'm afraid to try and list anything else, I dont want to trip the system or anything.

Yeah and I'll bet every time you try to e-mail ebay all you get is an automatic response.

How can that be? I have seen sellers with 500 plus auctions going. I have never heard of anything like this.

My first thought was that if she has a Paypal logo in her auctions, and only has a personal account, she could have hit the monthly limit. But since she only had $150.00 in sales for the month, that couldn't be it. It would have to be a max on a credit card on file. Better check with your cc company and make sure you don't have a hitchiker on your credit card.

My card on file is my checking/debit card that is linked to my checkign account. I just got my eBay bill and I had made PayPal payments all through July because they were so late in sending the bill so I didn't even OWE anything for the month.

This really upsets me. I just have started into this big selling thing, having more than 2 or 3 auctions at a time and it's irritating that I had other stuff to list and could not do it. I got no emails or anything from them last night either like that message said I'd get. So I sit here and do NOTHING while I wait for them to let me sell again??

Now come on.

I just tried to relist something, just for the helluva it - and it listed. So why couldn't I list last night when I had time and it was a decent hour????

Grrrrr.....

Glad to hear it's working for you again. I'm wondering--during the snafu, did you happen to check Ebay's Technical Issues message board to see if others were having the same problem? It sounds like a glitch in the system.

Never heard of a selling limit.
I do recall hearing something about the email limit thing. Something about ebay trying to cut down on spam etc (HAHAAHHAAHH)

I know eBay have BUYING limits for new buyers. A month ago I created a new buying ID at eBay and after a few bids I was restricted of bidding more.

I am trying to remember something that I was reading about a listing limit and "ask a question" sending limit that I was reading about and it seems to me there was something about limiting persons who have not confirmed themselves with ebay or had low feedback. Of course I can't find the text now, but I do know there was a daily limit imposed.
