A good friend of mine who has an Antique store asked me to list several items for him. They are antique butter molds. All are from the 19th century or very early 20th century. This not in my usual listing genre, so where is the best place to list them? These are really beautiful collector's items in almost new condition. I know there is someone out there who knows where I should put them.

Sanmar, without taking the time to research this on ebay, I seem to remember there's a sub-category for Vintage Kitchen items--either in "Home" category or in "Collectibles" somewhere. Good luck!

Sanmar, if they are wooden hand carved butter molds they could go in Antiques, Primitives.

Sanmar, if these are wood, they could be very valuable. If you list them on ebay, chances are, you will not get top dollar for them. My antiques and collectibles and going for rock bottom prices on ebay. Try one of the TIAS sites If you are going to list on ebay, I agree with Eathmum

i guess it would have helped if I said they were wooden. They are unique with all kinds of designs. Stonecold, you are really very helpful. Paloma, what is TIAS? Folks I really appreciate your input. I have tried to help others & what goes around comes back.

IF you had a lot of items, it might be worth it to open a store. Since you only have one thing, it might not be worth it. Here is the link

I haven't searched them lately but when I had a yean for then they were quite high. I do have miniature ones, but they are staying right in my house. They don't take up a lot of room. Just search butter molds then find the one like yours and see where that one is listed. Do you have round and oblong ones? I hope you do real good with them, but don't give them away.

A good place to sell them is if there is going to be an antique show near you. People like to see the condition of them.
Good Luck.
