Hi I picked up this very heavy copper or bronze winged figurine, she is about 12" tall, holding a small dish and standing on the tips of her toes. It looks like this was attached to another piece at on time there are two holes on the base. There are also two small carved flowers on the base....hope I remember how to do the pics...

Thanks in advance

My first thought is that it was a hood ornament. Maybe it was just a figurine by itself and it's base. Is it marked on the bottom?

Hi Paloma91, no mark there are two holes where she was attached to a base or another piece of some sort, there are pictures of the base in a thread a bit below this one.....

I found a similar piece 2 yrs. ago at a sale, no wings, had a black marblized base-$1.00, it`s an incense burner, probably 1920`s-30`s, sold for $275.00

Hey thank mgm, because what they came up with sure makes sense ...

and DON'T start this with a low price ... I happen to know an ebay bidder (former customer) who has a lot of moolah, and happens to collect fairies ... you should start it at at least 75 or a hundred ... I will point them in the direction of your auction.
