Last night I bid on a harley wheel. I went back a couple minutes before it was to end and was going to place a last minute bid. Others were also trying to get this one until the last second. So I placed my bid and when I went back to the auction the seller had ended the auction 38 seconds before it was to end (the screen said the seller ended it due to a pricing error). I know he just did not want to sell the wheel for the price it was at! So I go back this morning and sure enough the same exact wheel was listed 10 seconds later at the exact same starting price! Is this guy a scammer or what! Is this legal??? I sure would not think so!

Some buyers do that all the time if they don't like or want sniping. That's to bad because it probably would have gone a whole lot higher. I had a postcard and just before it ended it was at $35.00 when it ended it was $67.00. So sniping does pay.

Note: Sellers are not permitted to cancel bids and end listings early in order to avoid selling an item that did not meet the desired sale price. This is considered to be reserve fee circumvention. Although there are legitimate reasons for ending a listing early, abuse of this option will be investigated.

Report the seller and if this they are doing it on a regular basis, they may have to find a new auction site.

He's foolish! Last night I had an auction that the bidding stopped at $21.00 and stayed there for a few days. Last night in the final seconds it closed at $41.00. Ya never know!

It is possible that this seller is harvesting e-mails and selling outside of ebay. I would suggest tracking that wheel for a few weeks just to see if it is a pattern. My guess is he/she has many of the wheels and simply doesn't want to give ebay their cut.
