Mine quit doing that about a month ago. I use the end of auction notice that ebay emails out to get in touch with the buyer if I need to. I hate using their in house mailing system because I don't know if it got sent to the buyer or when it will get sent. I have been having a lot of trouble with ebay's email being slow to get to me, sometimes as much as a day and a half later. Makes things tuff if you are trying to get stuff out fast.

Well, there's 2 ways I see to get 'right to' their email address, but neither one of them will pre-fill in the subj.line for you with the item number .... one is when you click on 'contact buyer', the little screen that comes up also shows me their email address, near the top ........... or, you can go to your My Ebay/ Sold/, and click on Customize over on the right, and scroll down and it will let you set it to show EITHER buyer ebay ID name, OR the buyer email address (but you can't have both) ...... yep, ebay just makes it harder and harder on everyone involved. ... sux, huh?

HELLO PHIL.
THIS MAY SOUND SILLY. BUT DID YOU LOG ON FIRST.?
I HAVE SAVED MY AUCTION LIST PAGE IN MY FAVOURITES FOR QUICK ACCESS. AT THAT POINT THIS WORKS FINE. BUT IF I GO INTO AN AUCTION THAT HAS JUST CLOSED AND IS SOLD THE EMAIL ADDRESS WILL NOT COME UP UNTIL I LOG ON. LIKE YOU I HAVE SET MY PREFERENCES TO DISPLAY EMAIL ADDRESSES.

Make sure you've signed in with Ebay. That was MY problem, before I figured it out. May not be yours!
