Well, I filed NPB on 3 of the items that she didn't pay for. She has now paid for two of them. How shall I ship them to protect me? I can ship with DC, but I noticed in her return feedback that she gives negs if she doesn't receive something even with DC. Any suggestions? Right now, I just want to be done with this mess. I don't care if I lose money!

Send it certified mail, return receipt requested, or priority with signature required. If it's over 1 lb, and she doesn't live in the boonies where you'll get hit with a rural surcharge, send it FedEx Ground and you can email her a copy of the tracking record each day until she has it in her hot little hands.

I guess I would insure them myself, 1.30 to protect your feedback is worth it.

Buyers don't want to come up with 1.30 for insurance, but they expect the seller to self insure by refunding or replacing if the item is lost. That's about as unfair as it could be. Yet if you insist on insurance it can make the postage too high & hurt sales.
Tough position that we are all in if selling low cost items.

The feedback left about an item that doesn't arrive tends to make you look dishonest, the buyer would never mention they didn't insure, the seller looks bad, takes all the blame.

Cover yourself this time & block her.

Just keep the money and double-neg her tonight!

or...

Just send them D/C and take your chances. You're out on a limb here one way or the other anyway. After all, what's the chance of the next shipment getting lost too? Assuming the woman was telling the truth the first time.

mcjane -- I blocked her already. Unfortunately, she had won 3 of my items before this happened. I checked to make sure she has no more bids on my items. I just want to be done with her. Insuring it is a good idea and so is Sparkz. Maybe I'll insure it, send it priority, certified mail return receipt requested! There ... I think I will have covered all of the bases. Of course, only one thing left to do after that -- file for bankruptcy! LOL ...

Are you kidding me. You are going to lose money just because you fear some sort of stupid feedback. That is backwards. You need to make money or get out. Feedback will take care of itself, and even if she does leave a neg, so what. If you leave a resonable response to it, bidders will take it as that.

We are sorry but we are afraid we will have to suspend your posting privileges to the Vendio Community. Unfortunately you are making too much sense and you just don't fit in.

After a 30-day period of appropriate contrition and forehead-to-the-ground grovelling, you may petition the High Priestess for a return. In that case, please keep in mind the following community guidelines:

-Any feedback comment left for you that is not glowing, gushing, or indicative of a desire to bear your children must be viewed with dismay at the very least. Pulling out hair and rending one's clothes is the only appropriate response to a neutral comment, and in case of a neg, be prepared to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about how unfair it all is. For the next five years.

-You must link hands with other Community members at LEAST once a day and join in a rousing chorus of "Kumbaya my Lord, Kumbaya".

-Off-topic postings, especially of a personal nature are encouraged; however, discussions of genuine eBay issues simply have no place in the eBay Outlook.

Now, go forth and sin no more.

You are obviously a very nice person. If I were I doing business with this "lady" I'd refund her money and tell her to get lost!

Get over it. You have a repeat buyer that displeased you. She is a REPEAT BUYER AND BIDDER! You, as you well know, can choose whom you do business with; but money in is money in. Cultivate her, send her a replacement for the lost item, if you can. Offer a replacement at your cost. Bet you she'll be reasonable and snap it up. She can still leave a positive and ADD to your feedback. She will tell others. Make your sensibilities a separate aspect from your business dealings. I know, I have had difficulty learning humility, too.

Practice humility? Tell you what, Parklane. I'll send her over to you to purchase from and you can "practice humility."

Ahhhhh, yes ... Teacher with her caustic posts. Where would we be without them? Personally, I print them out and save them for when I run out of toilet paper.

Hey Tom, hope all's well in Jax.

Ralphie been nippin' at the Two-Buck-Chuck again?

I did post one time on RT. It was when someone started a thread about phobias. Seems hers was a fear of birds. So, seeing as how I'm from a family with LOTS of birdies, I thought I might be able to help her out. Don't know whether I did or not...

Anyway, the RT is generally such a cesspool of vitriol and deliberate baiting and insults I think I'll stay away from now on.
