My wife shipped for me that other day and the employee at the counter told her that they were going to start charging for Priority supplies starting in January. Has anyone else heard this and at what cost??

Since they co-partnered with Ebay on marking the boxes, I didn't think it would be long before fees started showing up on them.

I guess it is time to stock up. Now everytime I go the PO I will take a box or two. What is everyone else going to do.

With the purchase of the boxes they will lower the price for priority shipping.

One of the guys at my PO told me a while back that they were told to cut back on giving out the boxes and push the ones you have to pay for.

I just ordered boxes also, but I think I will order some more while I can.

Priority boxes weigh a lot more than normal shipping boxes. USPS makes up for free boxes by charging us money to ship those extra heavy boxes.

I just updated my new website - give me your feedback on it.

I would hate to see your normal boxes. I wouldn't use anything thinner.
Uline boxes weigh twice as much.

About 2 years ago this rumor was afloat that they were going to charge for boxes. I stocked up BIG TIME! I still have lots of boxes of boxes. In fact when we moved cross country last year my husband was none to happy to be moving my boxes of boxes! I will order some more.... the golden calf will be slaughtered at some point and I can't dive into dumpsters for boxes like I could 8 years ago

I recall that rumor too. I think it will loss them a lot of business if they do this but it's just another way to make money off the backs of the ebay seller & buyers. You would think they would appreciate the money that ebay sellers makes them. I think I am still upset with the calculated shipping - boy do I hold a grudge?????

I'm glad I stocked up a couple of years ago. They don't seem to carry the nice book size boxes (they called them "video boxes" anymore.

I receive a monthly newsletter from my local Postmaster. In this month's, he touts the new eBay/USPS Priority Mail boxes. He also mentions new co-branded tape, though I was not aware of that item being available anymore. Anyone else heard of co-branded tape? Of course, he makes no mention of whether or not these items will remain free.
I'll have to stop in at my local PO for a chat, I guess! I don't see the guys much since free Priority pickup started (I'm lovin' it!)
