With all of the Email Spoofs going on these days, I am probably being paranoid.. but thought I would check with you all and get your opinion.
I just received an email from someone on Ebay using the "message from Ebay member" form..
They are asking my opinion on an item that I recently purchased, the quality, and would I recommend it.. since they were thinking of purchasing one for themselves..

I don't mind answering, but on the form you have to click to respond, then you have to sign in.. before you reply.. Okay, so here is where I get paranoid.. if it isn't really an ebay member and an ebay form.. someone could see my id and password?
I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks. Drdo

I would ignore it. Better safe than sorry...

Yes.. I think you are right.. If it is a legitimate message from an Ebay member, I can't see why I would have to sign in..to reply.
Thanks for the advice.. Drdo

If you go through eBay's system you have to enter to reply because the information is posted and amended to the auction. But you can just as easily hit "REPLY" and send an email directly to the sender--if it'll go through.

No, that's not necessarily true.

eBay gives the sender a choice of whether or not to hide his email address. If he so chooses, you cannot respond directly to that person.

I know this all too well because I got a nasty I-hate-you you-are-an-evil-witch your-merchandise-is-crap f***-off-and-die message just this morning from someone who chose to hide his email address. No way to reply other than through eBay's system, and believe me, I ain't gonna.

Lovely Teacher... they were able to obtain your email address but had a choice to hide their own...

This one fortunately allowed his email address, good job too, because I had decided not to respond if I had to enter my information.. Drdo

lol!

Just what does a talking vibrator say?

I know you can buy some really odd things on eBay, but I don't get into adult much, except for "party favors". Ever see the "ponygirl/ponyboy" getup? Eeewwwwww!
