Does anyone know how to mark an item "paid" on eBay. I keep getting emails from customers who are upset because their items still show as unpaid on eBay when they have been paid, shipped and received and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to mark them paid. It is probably something very simple, but I sure can't find it.

Hi,
Thanks for your help. I have just written eBay for assistance because I have nothing like you describe on any of my pages. I should get an answer in a week or two or three. This really has me puzzled!
Thanks for trying.

On your My Ebay Page follow the line across on one of the completed items and you will come to "View Payment Status" or "Sell Similar". Next to that is a tiny box with a tiny down pointing arrow. Click on that tiny box and it will drop down a menu. On that menu you should be able to find "Mark as paid"

How about this. Tell your customers that you do not mark anything on ebay as paid. You don't have the time for ebay's games. If they paid, you will let them know and send them their items.
End of story.

That is what I used to tell customers who emailed me about marking items paid -- but, this customer says she tried to leave feedback and couldn't - eBay kept telling her the item was unpaid so she couldn't leave feedback.

Hi
I usually see the $ sign already marked as paid when they use paypal.

If they are sending a money order then it is not marked as paid till you mark it paid, but I thought that was for your own records ONLY, and I dont usually have time to mark anything either paid/shipped/ or even send email reminders, I never had anyone contact me saying they couldn't leave feedback because I never marked my item as being "paid".........is this something new?

I don't need to spend time keeping those kinda records, just pay me.......I ship .....I leave feedback, and I email the buyer with tracking number, job is completed in my book.

I think Tonimar is right - I thought it was for our OWN record keeping. At any rate, I have had a couple of thousand transactions since they started the new "My ebay" and I have never marked anything "paid" (PayPal marked automatically) and no one has asked me to mark it. I am not about to be forced to used eBay's lousy post-sale management program!

I never mark it paid either. Some are because they paid with PayPal, but I don't mark the others.

I did have one woman ask me to mark it because it wasn't showing up on her end. Before I could even think about it, she e-mailed back that she had figured out how to do it on her end. I didn't ask how though.
