What is the rule to put in an external link to your website in the about me page?

I think this is allowed but dont remember the details.

Thanks in advance for your relevant and insightful comments.

I just updated my new website - give me your feedback on it.

You can put a link to your website on your me page.

Believe has to be at least one click from your ad so "About me is fine". (As already said)

Don't believe everything you read here. Most people who post to EO are not well-informed about eBay policies.

Check it out for yourself.

http://www.ebay.com

Click on "help" at right side of top menu bar

In the "enter topic here" box, type:

links policy

From eBay...

The eBay About Me page may be used to describe the seller's business, and may contain Web addresses or links to the seller's individual Web site. It may not specifically promote off eBay sales or sales of items prohibited on eBay, nor may it contain links to commercial Web sites where goods from multiple sellers are aggregated by a common search engine.

It's usually Teacher who is not well informed.

I would urge everyone reading the EO to seek answers for themselves. It's your eBay account, possibly it's your entire livelihood. Don't take a chance and depend on hearsay.

The sheer amount of misinformation posted here daily is enough to clog the sewer drains of a small town.

I took this off the link that Teacher posted to show that I was wrong.

It clearly says that you can put a link to your website on your me page.

ebay is of course, 'weird' about this ... they allow you to post a link to your website, but you're not allowed to "invite" them, in words, to go shop through it ... it's a fine line.

One has to wonder how stupid the students of this teacher end up at the end of the school year.

It has always been legal to list your external web site link from your about me page.

Don't believe everything you read here. Most people who post to EO are not well-informed about eBay policies.

Especially if the call themselves a teacher.

Especially if the call themselves a teacher.

I didn't give him an answer.

I told him where to find the answer.

That's what GOOD TEACHERS do.

I expect you wouldn't know that.
