Finally back - I have been trying to access eBay for the past 20 minutes, and kept getting "page cannot be displayed" (insert growling smiley here)

I too have been having the same problem intermittently for the past several days. Have also experienced the necessity to restart my computer to get online when coming out of the hibernation state. I have cable. This time it worked. Wondering where the problem is... cable company... my settings... or what?
