What do the emails say when you send one?
I sent one earlier tonight on an item not paid for within 10 days (3 past my "due" date). I got an email from the buyer TELLING me how bad my feedback was going to be WHEN she received her item.
Does she not realize that I actually have to be paid for it first, to send it, and that if I play around with eBay and she DOESN'T pay me it would be that much longer before I receive credit for it??

i would LIKE to know what those emails say too ....
also, we no longer have the real option of this scenario, that just happened with us:... buyer (npb) had sudden crises and cannot pay, and i forgive, but i want my fvf, but i don't want buyer to get a 'strike' from ebay ...........
it is now 2 options only,... 1] you don't get your fvf, or 2] you get your fvf and the npb'er get a strike ....
Make sure you tell your buyer how bad THEIR feedback is going to be once you receive your feedback. Don't leave it first whatever you do. Sounds like a buyer I had once. She didn't pay, but negged me anyway. Don't be afraid of the neg. Respond to it calmly and rationally. Be just factual in your neg to her. As a buyer, I've bought things from people with negs knowing full well that most of the time they are retaliatory. How about a buyer ID so we can all block this nut case you have.

You can send a paypal invoice for the fee amounts. Don't send it as a request for auction payment. That way, you'll get your fees and your buyer will get no strike. I've done it before.

I dont have a copy of ebay email with me,but the tone is kind of harsh and it works on newbies and honest, bill paying citizens, they usually send payment after reading ebay email.
But some people do get offended.

Here's what your buyer gets:
Congratulations on your winning bid for eBay item xxx. Your seller, xxx, has informed eBay that your payment hasn't been received yet.
If you have already sent payment or intend to pay soon, please contact xxxx at xxxxx immediately. Simple misunderstandings are often resolved through direct communication.
** Do not reply to this email. All you need to do is contact your seller.**
If you have been unsuccessful contacting the seller via email, you are welcome to contact them by phone if needed. eBay allows all members involved in a transaction to request each others' contact information, including phone numbers. This feature can be accessed through the following URL:
xxxxxxxxx
You and your seller are encouraged to work things out in the next 10 days. If this situation is resolved during this time, the matter is dropped and you do not need to take any further action.
If, however, your seller is still unsatisfied after this period, you may receive a Non-Paying Bidder (NPB) warning from eBay. Once you obtain three warnings on your record your account will be suspended indefinitely.
For additional details about eBay's Non-Paying Bidder Policy go to:
Please note that eBay does not take the side of the buyer or seller -- understand that we are only trying to help you and your seller trade successfully. Remember: Your seller is under no obligation to "hold" your item since much time has already passed.

eBay Safeharbor Team

I know it because you can request a copy to be sent to you. I keep copies of all these emails. I have a folder in my emails that's for invoices sent, one for NPB's and one for awaiting checks and money orders. It's the only way I can keep things straight. This is a copy sent to one of MY buyers.
