Frances just arrived!! Sitting here at the computer and all of the sudden it just got black and stuff blowing everywhere! All of the things I thought I had battened down - weren't!

What part of Florida are you in?

Panama City Beach
On the maps of Florida we're the part that looks like the "trigger" on the gun. If you compare Florida to being shaped as a gun.

That's what I thought, Glassgrl. I just looked at the Tallahassee radar and you're getting the edge of it now. It gets better Hang on tight, it's going to be a long night. We've got our fingers (and toes) crossed for you.

no I'm sure we'll be fine. It just took me by surprise! WOOOSHH!
I feel sorry for the farmers in AL that were a week or so away from harvesting their crops! Rain is going to destroy them.
Of course we are in a new house with pine trees towering over us so I may not sleep much tonight!

Good news that you most likely be alright.
I'll be thinking about you as well as our other Florida members & sweetie pie Ralphie.
You have certainly had a bad time this past month....just stay safe, all of you.

yeah I thought about Ralphie earlier and his ears blowing in the wind. Romper started barking when the wind blew through.
That's weird, it was just that one big gust of wind that blew in. Since then, nothing. Terry was out at my house on the other end of the beach and he said he didn't get the wind gust we got here.
I'm sure we'll be ok. My only worry is Terry having to cross the bridge tomorrow to go to work at the tower and the bridge being closed and him not being able to get back home. I'm making him take the 4 runner since it has a special sticker on it from the Sheriff's office that gives him a pass to get through most things.

Be very careful. Frances has left Miami (thank heavens). There are alot of trees down. We had two large trees in front of each of our balconies that are down. One was actually pulled from the roots!
