I've had several positive feedbacks since saturday night, and given in return, and the numbers aren't changing. My number should have flipped up about 6 numbers and the ones I gave should have gone up too. They are all positives - they just aren't showing.
Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
Please don't tell me it's stupid to worry about feedback. I'm new selling what I am and trying to create more sales so every single feedback I get is important to me.

It's stupid to worry about feedback.
Feedback has nothing to do with sales.
Some of eBay's most successful sellers have feedback that would probably keep you awake nights.
At any rate, feedback is utterly beyond your control. You can't make people leave it for you, you can't control what they say, and you can't get eBay to fix it.

I notice that feedback I posted for others from Vendio are not showing up. My count was off but today it is caught up.

Ditto to what Lucy said.
Some of us want feedback, others don't care. It's as simple as that. I do understand if you're trying to build up your feedback from low numbers; I've been there, done that.
Only thing you can do, if you have the time, is to e-mail a few of your buyers and ask if they did receive the item and were happy with it. If the answer is yes, you could ask them to leave feedback on the sale if they have a moment.
Also, if you've sold more than one item to a customer, even if he leaves, say, 5 feedbacks for you, only one will bump up your "real" number.

Another glitch. I have been noticing for about a week that the number doesn't change for a while after a new feedback has been left. But they do show up eventually, Helga.

I have also noticed this for about a week. It seems like they catch up in bunches. I had 6 feedbacks come in and responded over 2 days to them and then yesterday evening all at one the count went up covering the 6. Ebay is at it again. Oh joy!!! One more "Improvement" and I will be looking to kiss a pig again.

Worrying about feedback is useless.
I had over 1,500 transactions with 100% Positive feedback and left feedback for every sale. It sure didn't help my eBay sales.
The eBay feedback feature is a useless thing. In fact, it is a feature that good sellers would be better off without.

Teacher I do not believe that anyone ever taught you if you do not have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.
I KNEW I would get a response like that out of you that's why I posted the "I know, I know" thing.
To me feedback is important. If it's not for you, yay you, but to me it is.
So anyhow at least it's not just me that it's slow on.

Actually, yes, they did teach me that.
They were wrong.
6 million people died in "showers" and ovens because a lot of people kept quiet.
I was taught many things early in life by well-meaning people. Fortunately, I've learned to overcome most of them.
I've been trying to help you overcome some of those wrong-headed precepts as well, but you are amazingly stubborn about holding on to what hurts you.

That comes from my grandfather. Every time something would happen that he didn't like or thought was stupid he would say "I really like that, I do. And I hope to kiss a pig, too." In other words I am not enjoying all of ebay's enhancements/improvements. Either that or, I'm really into kissing farm animals. At this point, I'm not really sure which.

Well I don't know who she is and I still think she is rude. Just because you have the anonymity of the internet doesn't mean you have to be rude all the time.
All I did was ask a question. If she didn't like it she didn't have to answer it.

Helga: I said about the same thing, I guess, in a more subtle way. I don't know who teacher is either, but she has some good advice sometimes.
The reason I wrote about eBay feedback being useless is that I have recently become very frustrated with eBay's changes, more fees for this and more fees for that, and although I have tried everything, Vendio Gallery, eBay Store, the whole bit, my sales recently went to practically nothing. All the time my feedback was 100% Positive. I just don't feel that many people even look at feedback. Just my humble opinion. I know that I, like many others would hesitate to give a negative, thinking "Oh, no, they will give me a negative and ruin my perfect record." I really worried about it when I had a low feedback. Then I came to realize "who cares, I'm not selling anything anyway. I really don't think the feedback gives a fully true picture. My dealers site has no feedback. Just a number of how many transactions have been sucessfully completed. If they have a problem with someone, they are kicked off immediately. I personally feel this is the best way.
Just my two cents worth. Bill

I know you said about the same thing, you just weren't rude about it. That bothers me - the whole "I am on the internet so I can be a schmuck" thing.
I just asked a question.
I know feedback isn't important to everyone but to me it is which is why I asked. If I did not care I would not have asked.

As a shopper on ebay, I do look at feedback. If I have two sellers selling the same exact thing that I wish to purchase, but one has not-so-great feedback and the other has good feedback, but the price is slightly higher, I go with the one with the better feedback. I have actually done this. Why? Because I would rather pay a couple of bucks more and get my item, then to pay a couple of bucks less and not get it and lose my money.
I think that some sellers either get too big and can't handle the amount of sales, so their mailings get delayed, or they are just dishonest, which really hurts ebay.
Either way, I know I would rather purchase an item from a person with good feedback.
Take teacher's postings with a grain of salt. She may act like she's all-knowing, and in alot of cases, she is knowledgeable, however, she doesn't know EVERYTHING. Not everyone can.

Helga, you asked a valid question and I am sorry you got hit over the head. Seems some people like to do that from time to time.
Those of us who are amateurs on Ebay do like to see our glowing feedback rack up. It lets us know we are doing something right and helps us "tweak" our auctions.
Wish IRT would go back to her old screen name. Not only was it a humorous name, but it was very appropriate and gave you warning. Lets just say it involved cats and reminded me of a cat's personality. One minute they are all warm and fluffy and the next they are scratching your eyes out.
Kevin, we sold off the pigs this summer, but I can send you a goat. According to some good ole boys from Colorado, they are a lot like sheep. Not baaaaaddddddd....

Oh No!!! Not Colorado Goat Ropers!!!! Now I know who ebay hires for doing enhancements.

well based on the hits others have given in other threads now I know who she is. Still doesn't change how rude I think she is but I've been around here for a long time (way back when there were moderators) so I do remember her.
