I just got an e-mail saying that someone sent me an instant paypal payment. I don't take paypal. I don't even know how to get money from paypal.

You really don't have to do anything, except email your buyer & straighten them out
Just tell them to look in their PP account & the "payment" that they "sent" to you should be marked "PENDING" or "UNCLAIMED" -- explain that it is marked this way because you DO NOT have a PP account because you DON'T ACCEPT PP!
Ask them to CANCEL the "payment" and pay you with an accepted method of payment, as REQUIRED BY YOUR TOS!
This is one buga-boo I have with PayPal -- if a seller (or anybody FTM) does not have a PP account, then it should be impossible to send a payment to an account that donna exist!

first,
do you recognise the sender??did he buy anything from you??
if he did, then go to www.paypal.com ,dont click on any link in the email or use the paypal URL provided by the email.
once you are in paypal land, find out what to do next??
someone will come along and give you more details.

For once, tom is right. Do not go to PayPal in anyway shape or form. Just contact the buyer with your TOS and capitalize NO PAYPAL.
