They finally opened the roads and the next door neighbor has a generator and 3 of our trees in his front yard
Whew. It was sporty!
they said the tornado was an catagory F2, whatever that is. I hadn't planned on getting up close and intimate with a tornado! The wind and rain of the hurricane didn't bother me - but the tornado was something else.
I was sitting on the back porch when - as you know how they always say the sky looks funny? And something said uh oh. So I climed up on the chair to look over the fence at the horizon and I saw one big black cloud. I then ran upstairs to look out the window and I saw one funnel cloud and a smaller one. Terry was asleep so I woke him up and said, hey, have you ever seen a funnel cloud? I thought it was a waterspout.
He ran to the window and it was just a cloud again...and then it sucked up into the funnel again and started heading our way! When it started blowing out the transformers on the way that was awesome but scared the 2 Buck Chuck out of me! And it KEPT coming! About that time I figured out it might not be a waterspout and said lets get to the downstairs bathroom. I ran downstairs and he stayed up there and watched it.
That was weird. I woke up about 1 and have been up since then. It was pretty windy! We are fine, our house is fine all but for the 3 pine trees in the neighbors driveway. They didn't hit anything but his pine tree.
Thanks for the prayers. I'm like the people that went through Andrew now. Never again.
Stupid hurricane.
Thanks
oh I forgot to add the weather guy said he lost count of how many tornados they spotted. He acted like he was about to pee in his pants. There were 5 & 6 of them at a time...he couldnt' talk fast enough.

Welcome back! Glad to hear you're safe. We can all breathe again. I kept updating the Tallahassee map last night and the tornado warnings kept appearing and disapearing in your county and the adjacent counties like blinking Christmas tree lights. Next time, have a fast car, full of gas, and have it parked heading north.

Yes, did you see the one taken thru a weathercam that had blue flashes as the transformers popped and then you hear the weather man freaking out as the tornado headed over the station, then you hear him saying he had to take a break. What he didn't say on the air was that he was going to go change his pants, lol. You could tell it scared him silly.
