Has anyone else seen this book? I just started it and it looks very interesting.

Haven't heard of it until now. What's the gist of it? Fiction or non-fiction?

Non fiction. Suppose to be the story of PayPal and many of the hurdles they had to overcome, including resistance from eBay. Even some attempts by the mafia.
Eric is a former PayPal exec. You can find more comments about it on half.com or amazon or ebay.

Well I just finished this book. Maybe because I know some of the people in the book, I found it very interesting to read about the many strugles involved in the early years of PayPal.
It provides a lot of insight to the people behind the formation of the company.

My copy is not for sale. You can buy it on eBay or Amazon. I am in no way connected to the book, just found it interesting as it relates to my business.

I remember coonr from the old AW PayPal board.
He was PayPal's BIGGEST defender, so much so that many thought he was an employee.

I must confess I LOVE Paypal-since I buy and sell overseas, especially to the United Kingdom, it makes my life a hell of a lot easier

Me too classic, never had a problem.
What I meant was when someone had a lot of money frozen in their PayPal account, through no fault of their own...so they said...coonr always sided with PayPal, like they never made a mistake. Damon would usually step in to help the sometimes wronged person straighten out the problem.
There was a lot of arguing back & forth with coonr, he liked to stir things up, acted like a troll.

Well, since you are in so dutch with them, maybe they can consider ONLY charging fees on credit card transactions once you upgrade to "bidness class", as they say in Texas.
I hate having a fee on an account transfer, but would not mind paying them on CC's.

LOL. I did not stir them up. I just asked questions and that often bothered people. It may have appeared that I sided with PayPal, but that is only because most all of the problems posted were self generated by not reading or complying with the user agreement.
But back to the book, the wars on the various message boards were insignificant compare to many of the other battles this book revealed.
Also for the record, never was and am not a PayPal/eBay employee and I am in no way connected to this book.
