I just tried it and smooth sailing. All of the extras are right on the main page where you input the name and address.
Woo hoo. Talk about time saver. Yippee.

stupid question time. I use shipping assistant to print the labels and do online delivery confirmation. How do you set it up to pay for the postage online? I looked at all the boxes and nothing seems to be correct for payment or printing postage. I am using version 2.2 if that makes a difference

I stopped using shipping assistant a long time ago. I either do it directly from PayPal (all the address info is already filled in) or from the USPS site.

You can't pay for postage using shipping assistant 2.2. It's a great program, but not good for that. Since I use stamps, it works out fine for me. I stopped using the USPS for insurance, I decided to go with a 3rd party provider. So far, so good, I guess we will see how good when there is a claim to file.

me too,i use third party insurer.
But you know with USPS,it will be around to honor your claims and its check will not bounce.
With private insurance carrier, one never know.

I have a problem with "Click & Ship" Since I install Service Pack 2, on XP, I can't use it. I can still use PayPal, but if I have a package that was not from eBay, I can't use P/P. I aldo ude 3rd party insurance , its a lot cheaper than USPS at $.50/$100. I have so little breakage & in 6+ yrs. only 1 lost pkg, why pay high rates.

I just did some labels with paypal and for the life of me did not see anything about insurance? I saw it on the USPS site but I want to use paypal so I don't have to file in the address (really lazy!!! lol)
Is there something I can adjust to add insurance on the paypal site?

Maybe PayPal isn't aware of this new feature.
Let them know and I am sure they will accommodate

I contacted PayPal about the USPS insurance available on line and they are working on adding it but don't have it yet. Sure will be nice when they do.

I’m thrilled too, as I ship very little via USPS, but we insure everything, and I dropped my 3rd party insurance because I could never get a proper accounting out of them, it is just safer for us, with so little USPS shipping to use the on line site and insurance. I hope I never have to see one of those little USPS insurance slips again.
We ship 98% UPS because of automatic insurance, and simple program to get signatures, which is something we also require on 99% of our packages, after being hit more than once with “I didn’t receive the package.” Whether one ships via PayPal or through one’s own merchant account they required a signature to PROVE the person got the item. That did it, now everyone has to sign for packages from us unless it is a very small and very inexpensive item.
We’ve done this for over a year with no real complaints, especially after we explain why we require a signature.
