Hmmm being "postcardman" you would think I would have a handle on this, but my regular supplier of backing boards JD Displays (they are good guys) are totally out of stock and it will be a while before they get any more, so does anyone have a good source for postcard backing boards, the ones you put in the sleeves behind the postcards? I tried ebay and no one was listing them, no luck on google. Seems like they used to be easy to find, I wonder if everyone else has switched to the semi-rigid mailers?

I use the 4x6 toploaders - never did use the backing boards so I can't help you there.

postcardman: I have not used the backers but I get my supplies from The2Buds. Have you tried them?

You could try Phillips gifts (cheaper than 2 buds): http://gallery.bcentral.com/GID4998962DD290190-toploaders.aspx?page=2 or BCW:http://www.bcwsupplies.com

neglus: When I copy and paste a URL to these threads, why is it not clickable. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Bill

You need to use: [*url]list url here - take out the * , so you get list your url here and then end it with bracket /url

Someone tipped us off a while back that printers use similar things to back pads of paper and it might help to check with them. That's what I'm going to do when I get to the point of actually selling my 800 postcards here.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have emailed a few of the sites suggested and will see what they can come up with.

I use the rigid top loaders also.
Are the backing boards cheaper? I pay 14 to 18 cents each for mine.

I do belive the combination of poly sleeve and backing board is cheaper, if a tiny bit more work (place the post card and board into the sleeve) does fit in a small size 3 5/8" x 6 1/2" envelope and has worked very well for me for many years. It makes for a nice looking presentation out of the envelope and if you are shipping just a few cards (1, 2 or 3) you can use one just board in the envelope. Here is the link to JD Displays where I usually get supplies. Very nice people and they have been very reliable suppliers for quite a few years, unfortunately right now they are out of the B55 boards for the next couple of weeks.

Thank you postcardman.
I will check them out when he gets more in. Now I have to order special larger envelopes to fit the rigid holders so it would be nice to be able to just use regular envelopes.
