I am not sure where this supposed to be. From the looks of the car, I would say this was 60 yrs ago. I don't think the trees a re there anymore. I see the sign for the Santa Maria Inn,. which is on S. Broadway. It is all commercial now & the trees are gone. I live about a mile SW of there. In 1940 S/M was about 15,000. Now over 80,000. Broadway is a 6 lane road now.

Hi all,

Well, based on the Santa Maria Inn sign hanging over the street, I'd say this was the 800 block of S. Broadway. Which sure as heck ain't a residential neighborhood any more. It's a main drag.

Whatcha think, Sanmar?

The Santa Maria Inn was built in 1917. Here's a link to their website:

It is all commercial now & the trees are gone.

I wonder how old those trees were!?! What kind of trees were they?
