question - do you wait until you are paid before you actually print out the postage?
what if you get it wrapped and ready and they don't pay you, then you are out money if you preprint it.

You need to wait. From what the PO tells me, the date on the label must match the date you are mailing the package. So, unless you are paid, how would you know what date it will be mailed?

First to answer your question.
You can file for a refund as long as you do not mail the item and destroy the label. I can be done in the shipping label area. I did this a bunch of times right after the USPS change software and didn't state to delete all JAVA script, then reload the newer updated version. The refund will take roughly three weeks to be posted to your credit card.
Now for the comment.
ARE YOU NUTS. NEVER, EVER PRINT OUT POSTAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE PAYMENT IN HAND.

Thanks for your replies. Dumb question to begin with. At least I know you file for a refund if you don't use the label.
