It looks like the listings more than doubled since yesterday evening. I listed a few items in the crafts category which came to about 3 items total (from all sellers) and now there are 66. Many other categories flew up in the listing count.

I guess I had better get to listing before everyone bombards this site.

BTW - Watched a piece on one of the Overtock subsidiaries the other day. It's Worldstock. Items there are purchased from artisans from all over the world. The president of that division is a former Afgan refugee who has developed a policy of aiding people in general and women specifically in underpriviledged ares. If you do a search under Afganistan and go to the last page you will find some gorgeous embroidered carves. They talked to one of the women that does the work on them. She completes two of them a month and the pay from those two scarves feeds her family of five (three kids and her disabled husband) for the month. It's an amazing project. In the countries where they have started the projects they provide the women with the materials and pay them in advance to help them get started and also offer educational opportunities for women that have been denied them.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

You can access WorldStock thru the Overstock site. For some reason they have not seen the wisdom in giving it it's owl URL The link is in the red navigation bar along the top but here is the link to the scarves (actually I guess they are shawls). I am going to get a couple for gifts this years. I love the "red" ones.

I just talked to them on the phone with a minor problem. They answered very quickly with just a few buttons to push (you know how that is). They were very helpful. They are having growing pains and they are working to fix them. The O-Lister has some glitches and that is being worked on. One of the reasons the search is showing some strange things, is that it also searches the sub-title. That is a good thing.
I have had more lookers in a day and a half than in the last month on eBay.

Yesssss!

I just made my first listing on Overstock. The photo's are terrible. They make Ebay's Pix service look good.

Also, it took too long to make the listing. Will they be offering a better listing program eventually?

I have to try and remember how to build a photo into my listing so I can use my own web space before I make any others.

I like the 10 day listings and the subtitles being free
