I am interested in opening an Ebay store. However, I read on this board that you couldn't if you didn't accept Paypal. I made an inquiry to Ebay CS who responded that I could after verifing process which is submitting a credit card. Here is my question? Don't we have to have a credit card on file anyway in order to be bill by Ebay??? It would seem that they are not doing their job is they are asking me for a credit card again. Any info on this matter.
thank you CF

eBay auctions does have your CC on file. However, the card cannot be used to bill additional services such as an ebay store without your permission. You grant that permission by sending them your CC number. This also verifies that your are who you say you are. It also allows customers to use different CC's to pay for different eBay services.
