Would you call this ashtray art deco shaped? It has the name Landewyck and a lighthouse symbol etched in fine white print on it that you cant see, so I am figuring it's scandinavian glass? Landewyck I googled is a cigeratte mfg in Luxemborg. Not sure how to list it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TYA

Cute ashtray.

1st, I would try some different lighting to see if I could get the lighthouse to show up.
Also, is the color in your photo correct, or is this cobalt blue?

You might do well advertising it under either Tobacciana (who the heck came up with that??) or advertising. Heading such as " Cobalt Blue Art Deco Landewyck Lighthouse Ashtray". This way you attract the cobalt, lighthouse and deco buyers. Cobalt is big with deco buyers.

You can also state in your ad that you do not know the age of the ashtray and remember to use "deco style" in your description since you do not know the age.

Good Luck!

Thanks Itray.
That is a good idea about those keywords. I think its cobalt blue?? I took it outside to try to capture the right color/lighting but even then its reflecting the trees, so guess I gotta do that cardboard box thing with it . Just into the weirdest shaped things lately....dont know whats going on with me....pre-alzheimers?...lol!!

edited to add: I was reading something about calling it a biomorphic or polymorphic shape? But I dont think I'll do that - sounds too weird.

I don't believe Luxembourg is "Scandinavian." Better check an atlas.

SusieQ37 is correct. Luxembourg is a nudist colony in Arkansas.
