Yup, I am back on the same old 3 days ago problem. 7 hours of typing on the chat line with e bay, every FIX in the world they can dream up,,,,every lie they can tell me,,,,,,Every oh we were aware of that and the problem has been resoloved,, YEAH Right! One slipping up and admitting!!!!!! major trouble and then even the BOARD finally addressing it as resolved,,(for AOL memebers,,,,I am not on AOL.),,,,,,Of course they NEVER mentioned anything WHILE there was a problem..........
Anyway,,,,,,,,this last guy says,,,,,,get a new browser,,,,,,,,,Mozillz foxfire? he gave me a link,,,,,,,I remember you folks talking about that,,,,is it good is it bad? Pleeeeeeze let me know,,,,,,and by the way,,,,,the ONLY way I can SEE my auctions is by going to E bay.ca that's in Canada!!!!!! He said we can do everything there that we can do here,,,,,,WRONG!!!!!!!! you CANNOT relist.......THIS PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED come up EVERY friggin' time.......

I use the Opera browser, primarily as a backup, but sometimes as a main browser. Ebay has never been 100% compatible with Internet Explorer, and the incompatabilities surface every so often. I used to have a hell of a time trying to revise an auction with IE, so I usually go to Opera when I revise. Also, Opera is about 3 times faster than IE. I highly recommend that program. WWW.OPERA.COM to download it. I've heard a lot of good about Mozilla also, but I've never tried it. Take your choice, but at least get a second browser that you can depend on instead of that bloated piece of junk that Microshaft puts out.

Jack, did they ask you to go to Toolbar (top of page) Help/about Internet Explorer and what version is showing there?
Did you try my other suggestion and adding http://www.ebay.com to your Tools/InternetOptions/Security thingy?
And also at Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/Edit and add always Allow Ebay cookies?

Thanks Tom,,,,,,4 pictures,,,names, internet, local intranet,trusted sites,restricted sites. It was set at medium. So I hit default. nothing different. ???? Then I put it back the way it was.

I'll go ask over at Spyware info. I tried running a search but I'm not bringing anything up on why Hijack is access denied.
What OS are you running?
yes, I'm thinking you have a trojan on your computer.
Your ebay login thingy could be redirect to their webpage.
have you EVER run Spybot or Adaware?
I've NEVER heard of someone NOT being able to run Hijack this, no matter how bad their computer is!

This is really weird!! In 6+ years on eBay, I have never been denied. I have always use MS Exployer with no problems. I really think there might be a problem with your ISP. I have used 3 differernt ISP's with no problem.

Well, I thank you all for these sites,,,,Yup they ALL say FREE scans,,,,,but it's $29.99-$49.99 to go any futher. To actually delete problems. Toms one said I have 377 problems....Some of these have taken well over an hour to complete. just to say, Where's the ransom of $29.99?

Jack...We're not all out on the town. Just the bidders It's sad to say, but in this day and age, you're gonna have to fork over a few bucks for a GOOD anti-virus program if you plan on getting on the internet. I use McAfee which I lease monthly through AOL. It's saved me several times and there's probably no anyone more cautious about surfing than me. They (viruses and trojans) can come places you would never guess. I never worry about email attachments anymore. AOL kills any email with a virus attached and it never gets to my inbox. I would highly recommend McAfee, but Norton Anti-Virus is the other first class AV program which is highly recommended. Both will perform automatic updates, so you don't have to remember to do anything. In the meantime, you can log onto Trend Micro's site and run housecall. It will scan and remove any viruses or trojans free. Here's the link. http://www.trendmicro.com/free_tools/ . Afterwards, download Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad Aware (both free). Now get your hind end over to Housecall and get that hard drive sterilized. You could be infecting your customers with the email you send them. Let me know what it finds. I might add, the first time you run Housecall, it will take awhile because it has to download definition files to your computer. After that, it works faster.

Reformatting would be my suggestion too if a Virus Scan and Zap routine doesn't work. It should work, but some viruses can cause irrepairable damage to the system. Let's just hope he didn't get one of those.

Jack, I think you need to heed the suggestions of Tom and Sparkz.
With all the idiots out there in Internet-land, you absolutely MUST have a good anti-virus program. I use Norton. I also have Norton's Firewall. Today I've had at least twenty or so pop-ups letting me know Norton had blocked Trojans. A normal day.
I have never had one single problem logging onto My eBay through IE. (I log in outside of AOL.)
AOL is my ISP. I've been with them since 1996. Aside from one or two emails that recently went astray (which I suspect was due to problems on the other end with hotmail and Verizon) I've had no problems.
Spend a buck, Jack... Pay for Norton, or McAfee or some other good anti-virus program. Then, as Tom suggested, it might be time to format and start over.
This is JMHO. You get what you pay for.

o.k. here is one for you all,,,,Earthlink had me put this on my desk top ages ago,,,shortcut to temporay files......I,,out of FRUSTRATION,,,,,, clicked on it,,,,,,,it had 1000 things on it,,,,,I deleted them,,,,,,did the TRY to get into my ebay againnnnn,,,,,,thought,,,,,hmmmmmmmmmm,,,went back and checked again,,,,, 1000 were back!!!!!! does this mean anything to anyone? they keep coming back,,,,,,,

This one I am on RIGHT at this Moment and have had NO problems for OVER a year and a 1/2. is the computer with the problem........

What method did you use to delete them? Was it the normal way, through your browser, or was it with a tool Earthlink provided? The best way to be sure they are gone is to go to windows explorer and then to the temporary internet files folder and highlight them and delete them manually.
