Okay I was finally able to log into PayPal. I made my payment as I had been trying to do all day long. Then I noticed that my address is showing up unconfirmed! Why is that? When I go to the profile section to try and confirm it it tells me that it IS my main address and that it IS confirmed. This is causing my payment to the seller to be held up because they have to approve the payments from an unconfirmed address ~ but it's not unconfirmed.
Is this making sense? I looked through the Help section at PayPal but I can't seem to find a definite answer of why this is showing unconfirmed and how I go about fixing it.

It's an ebaY/Pp interface problem. Not sure how to solve it but try checking your personal info at ebaY to make sure your ebaY address is exactly the same as your Pp address.

you are confirmed by giving your credit card billing address. You are verified by giving your bank account number

I posted this a few weeks back. What is happening is many of our credit cards are expiring and we are fixing the expiration date at PayPal. This automatically makes your account unconfirmed. It happened to me last fall and I didn't find out about it until this spring. I normally only sell, but I tried to buy something this spring only to find out that I was unconfirmed. This was troubling as I had confirmed when PayPal was first getting off of the ground.
I contacted PayPal customer service about it. I took them a couple of days, but they told me when I updated my expiration date, the automatically cancels all confirmation and the you need to reconfirm. What crap that is. It is simply a way for the goofballs at PayPal to rip us off of more money than they deserve.
To fix it, you simply need to confirm yourself again which we all know is the big PITA.

Earlier in the year I noticed that my correct address was showing in PayPal but it said I was unconfirmed. If I clicked on the button that said something like "change address" or "pick another address" and selected the exact same address it would show confirmed. I had to do this several times and from then on it was correct.
