I sold about 20 pieces of china for a lousy 35.00 and wrapped each piece separately in bubble wrap and styrofoam peanuts in a bot box.
she is bitching about the shipping. in my TOS I plainly say Priority Mail and that I charge for packaging materials. she paid by Paypal but is threatening me with a neg. "Note: I am very upset at your shipping and handling costs. You over charge
after the fact of the purchase. You give Ebay a bad reputation. I will give
you bad feed back so no one else gets taken like I did. Lydia 28.50
shipping and handling I only live in Pa."
I told her I would refund her money and relist. Haven't heard from her. Its like you work your azz off for these buyers and they want to tell you what to charge. I'm having a bad night
sorry to vent but knew you would come up with a good answer.

Hi,

First off, go get yourself a nice glass of Two-Buck-Chuck. Then take several deep breaths. That's after you take several sips of the Chuck.

That said, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will be along with input but I'm thinking that could be construed as feedback extortion. Maybe not... she's just complaining about it.

Should it be sent to eBay?

Lucy, - great idea. 2buckchuck would help

Japerton - Am thinking of unwrapping it, wrapping it in newspaper and putting it in a nice thin box and ship media mail.

Rocky - definitely put it in my Toss

niel35: I always put my shipping charges in my TOS as a flat fee(anywhere in the USA) I have never had a complaint. I do combine sales for shipping. Sometimes I come out ahead & sometimes I barely break even. Lucy is right; have a glass or even more of '2 Buck Chuck" Just bought a case today at Trader Joes.

Send her an invoice by e-mail in the amount of $6.66 -- that's the fee for the 4 minutes of your life she wasted, based on a basic hourly wage of $100.00, which would not be an outrageous fee for an Auction Consultant.

Did you check the rates for FedEx Ground or UPS? Whatever shipping charge you come up with, be sure to tack on an extra $2.00 for the two buck chuck that her attitude necessitated.

Classic has a point. Did your auction state the actual shipping cost? Or did it just say you ship Priority Mail and she didn't find out until after the auction. (Of course she should have asked first if it were an issue with her.)

PM is hugely expensive! If I were sending 28 pieces of china I'd most likely be using FedEx.

Sanmar's the china shipping expert here, though, and I defer to his good judgment.

Now back to my Two-Buck !

I'm terribly sorry, but I was getting ready to package up your items and my cat knocked the box off of the end of the ironing board. You would have been horrified at the mess, a complete refund is enclosed. Again, my sincerest apologies.

Parklane,
Would you consider renting that cat out for special occasions and emergencies?

Now she is accusing me of making up what I didn't get for the china with high shipping.
I just refunded her full amount.
She is accusing me of being dishonest and I won't stand for that.
She is having a good time and my blood is boiling. .

Send her the link for the USPS website and include the shipping weight. Maybe that will shut her up...

Or better yet, send her a link to Sanmar's auctions ad tell her to look at what it costs to ship one plate. (No offense intended Sanmar!)
