Hi all,

Need a vacation from eBay? I do! Which is how come I'll be absent for four days the end of this month. My cost? A hundred bucks.

I've been meaning to post this link for a while. It's a heck of a deal! I've been going there for probably 10-12 years.

The price is very reasonable. It includes airfare to Elko, Nevada, plus accommodations and airport transportation.

The Red Lion is a smallish (223 rooms) Las Vegas type hotel-casino. No big-deal shows, good restaurants.

Right across the street is Gold Country Inn (which is where I stay) a very nice Three-Star Best Western with a small casino.

I've not stayed at High Desert - it's strictly a motel, no casino. Plus you need to take their shuttle to get to the other two.

Double occupancy prices range from around $100 for California and Washington to $200-220 (for Cleveland - sorry Cheryl! )

Anyhoo... if you like to gamble and want a break from eBay, this is a good deal!

I have heard many good things about Elko so have fun. Win lots of money, return and tell us all about it.

Elko IS a lot of fun! My Mom goes with me. She and I sit there for hours at the penny slots. Cops & Donuts is a hoot! Ditto the Kenny Rogers Gambler machines.

If you're from Milwaukee, WI, or Springfield, IL, and take the end-of-October junket, you'll be there the same time as I am.

To me, finding a lucky slot machine, is finding a gas pump that pays off for less than $2.30 per gallon.

Oh, you are so funny! LOL! I prefer Windsor. It's within driving distance and oh those male strip clubs.

Have fun, Lucy! My next vacation will be to Port Charlotte to visit my father. He only comes up here once a year so, I really need to get down there to see him more.

The last vacation I took (besides my camping trips a couple times each summer), was to Gettysburg, Maryland and Washington D.C. That was in the August before the terrible 9/11 tragedy. Washington DC is still my favorite destination. It's within driving distance from here and by staying in Virginia, it didn't cost us too much. I could spend a month at the Smithsonian museums and never get bored. Although I have to say that the National Zoo was a big disappointment. The one big drawback is that it's too hot there in August!!!

I see no eBay vacation right now. My sales have really picked up and I have a huge amount of inventory coming in within the next two weeks. It will be work, work, work.

So Classic, where are you from?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to some time away from this joint. With the big storm we got today and Bird shrieking all day because of it, I'm ready to head out!

Just be sure to book a junket that flys you there. I don't think you'd enjoy a bus trip over Donner anytime in the next few days
