This always comes up with holidays and such, I've decided not to have any new auctions end this day - I know I will be out trick or treating and going to a Halloween party with my kids, so I think a lot of parents will be doing things other than ebay that night. What is everyone else who has Sunday night auctions going to do?

trick or treat is held on several different nights, depending on the city you reside in. in our area you can trick or treat from Wedn. through Saturday, just by driving to the next suburb.

I have a couple of big ticket items I want to list this Sunday. Guitars and amplifiers. I sort of forgot about it being Halloween... I guess that's sort of naive. I'm not sure what to do... I've been waiting through the week for the Sunday listing. Not having children, I guess I didn't have the foresight to think about that. I'm torn now because I don't think I listed much last October.

Trick or treat starting Wednesday? That strikes me as odd. I realize there are Halloween parties Friday and Saturday. I also know that some communities will do trick or treating on Saturday for religious reasons. However, I think that is not the norm - And I've lived in 3 different states in 3 different geographical areas too. While it only lasts a couple of hours, it is for me what are the best hours to end listings, 5-7pm...It will be a nice welcome break for me, I've done a lot of listings the past couple of months.

If past history is any indication, Halloween should be a very good night to have auctions end. What happens since so many people are stuck in their homes to pass out candy, they sit in front of their computers in between when the trick or treaters come. Even when a trick or treater does come, the amount of time actually being spent passing out candy is quite low. In turn, that actually gives people quite a bit of time to search for items to purchase. This year should be no different, unless the upcoming election is still making people nervous. I will be listing as normal this Sunday evening, banking on past results.
