Does anyone have a book with Rosenthal marks in it? I have been searching the internet and Ebay trying to date and identify the pattern of a piece I bought today. I don't know how to post a picture here. The mark is in green script saying Rosen and then an X with a crown in the top part, then the rest of the name, thal. Under that it says GERMANY in block letters (no parenthesis around it). Below that in pink are the numbers 31 (space) 68. Under that the number 13. The piece is a covered vegetable bowl and each handle has a hole in the bottom of it. The pattern I can find closest is Regina which is a wheat pattern but this one is more detailed, platinum and black stalks with little circles blowing off the stalks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have found out the pattern name is Ceres, named after the Goddess of Agriculture. Now to figure out how old the bowl is.

Whats so important about the age? I have been buying & sellin china for over 10 yrs. & never worry about the age. It is all supply & demand. Replacements lists 3 "Ceres" #3853, #3168, & #3182. They are not buying the 3168 & 3853. A CV in 3182 is worth $123.00

Stonecold: They call her I.D. for short, of course.
Classicrock: Not a joke but a story. It's not dirty but yet slightly risque.
Sanmar: Thank you for the information. I didn't realize age wasn't important. This obviously isn't my usual area but I thought it looked like a bargain for two bucks at a garage sale.
Cheers!

age does make some difference.
Rosenthal no longer makes figurines, they bot Hutchenreuther(excuse the spelling),the older Rosenthal pieces in good condition are worth more as they are rarer.
I am talking about figurines, dunno about plates.
