I just did a BIN with Instantpay for something and when Ebay linked me to PP, the site was down. Kept trying to login, would get logged in, click on Ebay auctions won, received PP's pathetic error message.

Go back to Ebay, search for the auction, click BIN (Its not supposed to be sold until you pay, right??), click on BIN and and the damn thing now saws I bought 2 of the items. Still can not get into PP to straighten this out and Ebay does not allow bid cancellation on BIN.

I can see how buyers get so frustrated! Now I have to explain this mess to the seller and hope he understands what happened.

Itray: not all BIN auctions are of the "you must pay immediately" variety. And if they are, a notice in red will tell you so above the PayPal "pay now" button.

You're going to need to contact the seller and let them know what happened--that way you may (if they're nice) be able to get off the hook for the second item.

Thanks Bunni, I have already contacted the seller and made arrangements. I agreed to pay his fees on the second auction. I'm just fedup with Ebay and Paypal right now!

Luckily, I have bought from this vendor before, so he was willing to work with me.

I think Ebay/PP needs to have a way to fix the problem. I get nauseous thinking about the money they are making on their problems!

I don't think the seller is out any fees on this one. If he applies for a FVF stating you mutually agreed not to complete the transaction and the listing was for multi items anyway? I guess it's no big deal if it's just a little bit.
