I've been selling seasonly on eBay since July 1997. I've been with Vendio as soon as they came on the seen as AuctionWatch. Still trying to muck my way through on the billing as far as the "pay as you go plan".
So each late fall (even though I lurk here and other places all during the summer) I have to update prompts, settings, defaults, etc.

I have an auction that has over 600 views, not bad CONSIDERING my photo gallery pic is NOT showing! So I went back and searched through Vendio. Vendio requests the gallery photo selection in the same area that you select the photos to be placed in the auction.

So as you do this, select your gallery photo to be attached, why doesn't Vendio have an automatic default reset from "No eBay Gallery Photo" to "eBay Gallery". From what I can see, you have to manual select it. Doesn't seem like much to manually reselect the box; however, why the extra step when the seller has already selected a gallery photo to be displayed?

Last year, the selection default button and the picture to be displayed were in close proximity and it wasn't so easy to make this mistake.

Am I missing something or just thinking too logically?

I like it this way..I don't usually use a gallery in my ebay AUCTIONS but always use on STORE listings. When I attach a gallery when first listing, the selection stays with the listing but the "gallery" remains unchecked so that when I put in the store I don't need to "find" the image and attach it

You can change your default. Under my account go to Ebay site specifics. As you scroll down the page, you'll come to a place where it says something like "no gallery picture" with the little circle beside it chosen. Just click on the one underneath that says "gallery picture" (or something like that. You'll know it when you see it.

This works for me, I usually use gallery and it won't let me make an auction without it, unless I click on the circle near no gallery picture as I'm listing the auction.

Thanks cherished....I'm aware of the default settings. Although I use gallery pics, I generally use it somewhere around 70% of the time.

I know because I'm selling seasonally there are changes and I think I adapt pretty well, but this was a harder change to learn and may have caused me more than the gallery pic fee (auctions ended less than some comparable)

When they make changes like this, bigger fonts or warnings should be on the listing for awhile. Sort of like when you put in stop signs at an intersection where they haven't existed before. People aren't use to it and have a tendency to blow through the intersection EVEN with the big red sign.

How 'bout....when you have a gallery picture selected BUT you haven't chosen the gallery pic button (or changed the default manually) it should warn you that you haven't done so. How's that for a thought?
