I'm curious (and stupid)

They have almost 4,000 active running auctions. I wonder how much their listing fees run every month. $1400? Plus FVFs, PayPal fees. Do they really make money?

Look at their feedback. One person bombed them with like 20 bad feedbacks.

Must not be too profitable, they tried unsuccessfully to sell the business on eBay.

That bad feedback is buried now, 5 pages back. They get more feedback in an hour than I get in a month's time.

I just went to their website to read more about them.

They will charge you $5,000 upfront plus $1 per item to sell your stuff for you.

Uh....I'll just keep not making money on my own, thanks.

extex I dunno, if you are that unhappy you quit buying.

I ran like a mama to put him on my BBL though. I doubt he'd want what I sell but in that slim chance, I dont want him near me.

No thank ya.

Helen: the ID is familiar. I think that they bought something from me in the not too distant past. I'm going to look it up.

Is this the seller that was trying to sell their ID? I think I've seen it too.

I've ordered from them, everything has been brand new and in perfect condition. When I want to buy a CD, they are the first seller I look at (after Amazon).

Just looking at the feedback described above, I'd say it was some kind of attack. Could you get a bad CD from them? I suppose so. Could you get THAT MANY bad CDs? No. I'm guessing it was sabotage to slow them down before they hit the 200,000 point. I wonder if they even really bought those CDs or if this was just a "bid and leave feedback" game?

And I don't think they were seriously trying to sell their business a few months back. No matter how bad your math is, their business could never be worth five million dollars. I think they were just taking advantage of a free listing day to list something that would get them a lot of publicity. And it DID get them a lot of publicity.

I stopped selling music on eBay. Too many kids and wackos who want factory fresh stuff for a penny and then try to talk you down on shipping.

Nope, they didn't buy anything from me, but I looked at their "me" page awhile back for some reason. Maybe it was a thread somewhere about one cent auctions.

I have bought from them before also. They don't hide the fact that some of the CD's are used. Others they bought from store pick ups that have the hole drilled through the box.

This guy's biggest complaint seemed to be the condition of the sleeves and cases. What would you expect for 99 cents or a couple of dollars more. Go to the Dollar Store and buy 10 CD cases for $2. If it's rare and you can't find it at a store, you probably wouldn't care about the box anyway. If you do you're not going to get it in mint condition that cheap.

I buy most of my CD's from the pawn shop. As long as the CD itself is in good shape, I will buy it. And replace the box if it's in bad shape. $3 at the most.

I have also had some come in the mail with a busted jewel case. I didn't neg the seller though.

Be kind. Everyone is fighting their own secret battles.

In their description of the CDs it states that there will be marks, hole punches, etc... to keep the CDs from selling at full retail. Another example of bidders not reading descriptions. This person who left all that negetive feedback needs to learn how read before they neg someone.

Never bought from them myself but maybe I oughta so I can build up some of my CD collection again.

You're not a wimp BJ -the first neg hurts a bunch ... I am sure they don't even NOTICE negs anymore!!

Didn't I read here a long time ago that they ship all their cds out PRIOR to receiving payment? Wonder if they are still doing that? Doesn't look like they GIVE many negs and they have to have a lot of deadbeats.

Yes I bought from them one time and they shipped my CD's before I paid. I could never take an item without payment so you better believe I whipped that PayPal payment over but I wonder if a lot of people take advantage of that.
